Section Two, Entry 5: What Would Seth Say to Me Today About Freedom?

By Lynda Madden Dahl:

What Would Seth Say to Me Today About Freedom?

LET FREEDOM RING!
    • “All you have to do is realize your own FREEDOM. You form the reality that you know, not esoterically, not symbolically, not philosophically. Some great oversoul doesn't form it for you.”  (Seth Speaks, ESP Class Session, Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1971)
    • "My first purpose, therefore, is to make you aware of the inner identity of which you are a part, and to clear away some of the intellectual and superstitious debris that prevents you from recognizing your own potentialities and FREEDOM. Then perhaps you can begin to learn the many ways in which that FREEDOM can be used."  (Seth Speaks, Sess. 525)
    • “(The geese) attract you because of their instinctive knowledge, and they represent the inner FREEDOM that man is in the process of objectifying on a conscious level.”  (Nature ofPersonal Reality, Sess. 648)
    • “Your sense of identity, FREEDOM, power, and love would be immeasurably enhanced if you could understand that what you are does not end at the boundaries of your skin, but continues outward through the physical environment that seems to be impersonal, or not‑self.”  (Seth Speaks, Sess. 682)
    • “I simply want to make it clear that vast possibilities of progress are possible, and to stress the fact that each personality has full FREEDOM.”  (Seth Speaks, Sess. 547)
    • “It is vital that you throw aside old concepts of the self and of the soul before you can begin to understand the FREEDOM of your own selfhood.”  (“Unknown” Reality, Vol. 2, Sess. 730)
    • “The Holy Roman Empire united a civilization under one religious idea, but the true brotherhood of man can be expressed only by allowing the FREEDOM of man's thought under the banner of cooperation; and only this will result in the fulfillment of the species, with developments of consciousness that in your terms were latent from the beginning.”   (“Unknown” Reality, Vol. 1, Sess. 690)
    • "The man who does not realize his basic independence from the physical system will not have the same FREEDOM within it."  (Early Sessions, Book 5, Sess. 208)
    • “In your realm of reality, there is no real FREEDOM but the FREEDOM of ideas, and there is no real bondage except for the bondage of ideas (intently), for your ideas form your private and mass reality.”  (Individual and the Nature of Mass Events, Sess. 855)
    • “The birth of a conscious mind, as you think of it, meant that the species took upon itself free will... The ‘new’ consciousness accepted its emerging triumph—FREEDOM—and was faced with responsibility for action of a conscious level.”  (Nature of Personal Reality, Sess. 634)
    • “My purpose is not to come between you and your own FREEDOM by giving you ‘answers,’ even to the most tragic of problems. My purpose is to reinforce your own strength, for ultimately the magic of your being is well equipped to help you find fulfillment, understanding, exuberance and peace.”  (“Unknown” Reality, Vol. 1, Intro Notes by Rob Butts)
    • “There is no such simple end to the life that you know, such as the story of heaven. There is the FREEDOM to understand your own reality, to develop your abilities further, and to feel more deeply the nature of your own existence as a part of All That Is.”  (Seth Speaks, Sess. 547)
    • “The creative power to form your own experience is within you now, as it has been since the time of your birth and before. You may have chosen a particular theme for this existence, a certain framework of conditions, but within these you have the FREEDOM to experiment, create, and alter conditions and events.”  (Nature of Personal Reality, Sess. 615)
    • “Your reality is one in which the greatest FREEDOMS have been allowed.”  (“Unknown” Reality, Vol. 2, Sess. 733)
    • “While physical, you follow physical laws, or assumptions. These form the framework for corporeal expression. Within this framework you have full FREEDOM to create your experience, your personal life in all of its aspects, the living picture of the world.”  (Nature of Personal Reality, Sess. 613)
    • “There is no need to justify your existence. You do not need to write or preach to justify yourselves, for instance. Being is its own justification. Only when you realize this can you begin to utilize your FREEDOM.”  (Seth Speaks, ESP Class Session, Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1971)
    • “Exuberant ideas of FREEDOM, spontaneity and joy automatically collect others of their kind.”  (Nature of Personal Reality, Sess. 616)
    • “Each reader is a portion of his or her own entity, and is developing toward the same kind of existence that I know... Each personality is aware to some extent of the true FREEDOM that belongs to its own inner consciousness.”  (Seth Speaks, Sess. 514)
    • “To some extent, the feeling of grace is your emotional recognition of the necessity, purpose and FREEDOM, the innate appreciation, of your rightness and your place in existence.”  (Nature of Personal Reality, Sess. 637)
    • “You do not need drugs, hypnotism, or even meditation. You only need to allow and direct the FREEDOM of your conscious mind.”  (Nature of Personal Reality, Sess. 640)
    • “Your free will allows for the FREEDOM of any belief, including one that says you are unworthy, with no right to your existence.”  (Nature of Personal Reality, Sess. 648)
    • "In order for consciousness to develop in your terms, there must be FREEDOM for the exploration of all ideas individually and en masse. Each of you are living entities, growing toward your own development.”  (Nature of Personal Reality, Ch. 12)
    • “Since feeling is so often the cohesive with which mind builds, it is feeling itself which must be changed if you would find FREEDOM from your particular plane of existence at your particular time.”  (Early Sessions, Book 1, Sess. 13)
    • “You can then realize that you have cowered before contradictory beliefs for years, rise up in anger against them, and quite literally begin a new life of FREEDOM.” (Nature of Personal Reality, Sess. 642 )
    • “Within the basic framework of the body chosen before physical birth, the individual has full FREEDOM to create a perfectly healthy functioning form. The form is, however, a mirror of beliefs, and will accurately materialize in flesh those ideas held by the conscious mind.” (Nature of Personal Reality, Sess. 626)
    • “Again, in your dreams you work with probabilities and decide which ones will become your physical ‘true facts.’ Here you have great FREEDOM both individually and as a race. Here each man works out his own destiny, and with the use of this dream information quite consciously.”  (Nature of Personal Reality, Sess. 671)
    • “All excursions into outer reality come as the psyche attempts to reproduce in any given ‘exterior’ world the inner FREEDOM of its being.”  .”  (“Unknown” Reality, Vol. 2, Sess. 713)
    • “The soul or entity has complete FREEDOM of expression. It changes its form to suit its expression, and it forms environments like stage settings, and worlds to suit its purposes. Each setting brings forth new developments.”  (Seth Speaks, Sess. 522)
    • “Theories of probabilities will be seen as practical, workable, psychological facts, giving leeway and FREEDOM to the individual, who will no longer feel at the mercy of external events—but will realize instead that he (or she) is their initiator.”  (“Unknown” Reality, Vol. 2, Sess. 742)
    • “All That Is had to surprise himself, itself, herself, constantly, through freely granting itself its own FREEDOM, or forever repeat itself. This basic unpredictability then follows through on all levels of consciousness and being.”  (“Unknown” Reality, Vol. 1, Sess. 681)
    • “Many of the ideas given in this book can be used most advantageously to solve personal problems. If these concepts are understood, then the individual should realize the FREEDOM he has to operate purposefully within the structure of physical life.”  (Seth Speaks, Sess. 594)
    • "Now, my words will not, I hope, be used to begin a new dogma. My dogma is the FREEDOM of the individual. My dogma is the sacrilegious one—that each of you is a good individual.”  (“Unknown” Reality, Vol. 2, Appendix 18)
    • “In the next century, the inner nature of man, with these developments, will free itself from many constraints that have bound it. A new era will indeed begin—not, now, a heaven on earth, but a far more sane and just world, in which man is far more aware of his relationship with his planet and of his FREEDOM within time.”  (Seth Speaks, Sess. 586)
